The Senior Citizen or Persons with Disabilities Circuit Breaker Grant application is available through the State of Illinois Department on Aging. This is a low income benefit to seniors age 65 or older or disabled citizens who pay a property tax or rent. There are income limits that will affect eligibility. You may contact the Illinois Department on Aging at 1-800-624-2459, or go to the website at www.cbrx.il.gov for information or to apply online.
The township office sometimes receives the Circuit Breaker booklets, call our office at 847-356-2116 to see if the booklet is available.
