Early Voting / Absentee Ballots

EARLY VOTING

Early Voting is offered to any eligible voter, without reason (not required to be absent, physically disabled, etc.) from September 29 – October 21 at the Lake County Clerk’s office and from October 24th – November 5th at the Antioch Township Office. Voters are required to present a valid Illinois driver’s license, an Illinois identification card issued by the Secretary of State, or any other government issued identification document containing their photograph, name and address.

ABSENTEE VOTING

An absentee ballot may be cast in person, by any eligible voter at the Lake County Clerk’s office not more than 40 days before an election or less than 1 day prior to an election.  Absentee voting is different from Early voting in that a reason is needed to vote absentee.
