The Lake Villa Township Highway Department maintains the right-of-way of most of the streets in the unincorporated area. Right of way is from the center of the street to the property line.
2009 CHIPPING PROGRAM
Our chipping program has grown along with our community. Please keep in mind that this program is intended to help homeowners with small amounts of brush, it is not intended for large projects or construction clearing. Piles should not exceed 3 feet high by 6 feet long, no larger than 5 inches in diameter. Please place cut end facing street. There is no set schedule for this program.
Chips are available to township residents. We can deliver the chips to your home, it is a @ 5 yard load or you may pick up chips at the highway department yard at 37822 N. Fairfield Rd.
