NW Lake County Demonstration Project-RTA New Freedom Grant Project

The one-way fare is $1.00 for Disabled Riders and Senior Riders.  (Seniors are defined as passengers 65 and older). 
The one-way flat fare is $2.00 for the general public.  This service gives priority to people with disabilities, but is open to the general public.

 Fare is payable by exact fare cash to the bus driver.  Coupons are available at the township office.

 This Dial-A-Ride service will run Monday through Friday with service hours to accommodate trains departing
Prairie Crossing Metra Station for Chicago @ 7 am and returning to the Prairie Crossing Station @ 6:45 pm. 
The morning trip must originate within the 4 township area (Antioch, Avon, Grant and Lake Villa) and riders will be taken
to the College of Lake County (CLC) and the two Metra Prairie Crossing train stations in Libertyville
(train station entrance is from Harris Road) as original service destinations for morning rush hour. 
Riders can be picked up at the Prairie Crossing train stations and CLC in the evening and be brought back to
their home destination within the 4 Townships. 

 The service will function as a typical Dial-A-Ride during the day outside of the morning/evening commuting hours,
as long as destination is within the 4 Township area. 

 RIDERS MUST BE REGISTERED and you register through your township. Once registered you can call the center 
 and make a ride reservation. 
The call center will give you your pick-up time window at the time of the trip request.

 The call center hours for trip requests are from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. 

 The Northwest Lake call center number to schedule rides is 1-800-201-6446.

 24 hour minimum notice is needed for a ride request and rides are set up on a first come first served basis. 
Trips must be reserved one-day in advance by noon for a confirmed trip (subject to bus capacity). 
Same day service may be offered based on availability.

 This is “curb to curb” service.
